INTRODUCTION TO MICROBOARDS –  Tuesday 3 September 7:30PM AEST    LIVE ONLY
Presented by Jaquie Mills, Managing Director of Microboards Australia.

A Microboard is a group of people in unpaid relationships with a person with disability who meet regularly to support that person to make plans, make decisions, be socially included, be safe and well, and to have the life they want.

This network is formalised by becoming an incorporated association which can safeguard the person throughout their life.              Microboards can assist with employing support staff and are the original ‘service for one’ model.

This 1-hour webinar will cover:

  • the history of Microboards
  • the benefits of incorporation
  • Microboard principles and values
  • how people usually attract people to become members of a Microboard
  • how Microboards Australia supports the establishment of Microboards
  • the benefits to the focus person’s quality of life.
