Fragile X and Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (FXPOI) – What do I need to know

April 4th, 2022

Dr Amanda Vincent MD PhD, webinar recording 4 April 2022.

An estimated 20% of women with the Fragile X premutation may experience FX-associated Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (FXPOI), a condition which can lead to infertility and early menopause.
Dr Vincent joined our webinar series to discuss health considerations and symptom management for women with FXPOI symptoms, and the risk factors associated with developing FXPOI. She also touched on fertility management considerations for young women who may be at risk of fertility issues related to the Fragile X premutation.

Former President of the Australasian Menopause Society, Dr Vincent is an endocrinologist working with the menopause Clinic at Monash Health and The Women’s Specialist Menopause Clinic in Melbourne.

The webinar was held in April 2022, sponsored by the Australasian Menopause Society.
