Alison is a Corporate Communications professional based in Newcastle and has spent the last 15 years helping organisations achieve their strategic outcomes by aligning people behind a common purpose, inspiring behavioural change, and building stakeholder awareness and advocacy. She has worked for ASX-listed and global companies both in Australia and the United Kingdom. Alison has worked as a radio news journalist and is experienced in media and public relations. Alison discovered she is a Fragile X premutation carrier following genetic screening during pregnancy. After finding her health support providers to be lacking knowledge about Fragile X, she has become passionate about increasing awareness of Fragile X within the general public and medical communities alike. Alison was appointed to the Board at the AGM on 20 November 2022.
