New webinars/Q&A events coming up over the next couple of months feature expert speakers addressing topics associated with Fragile X.

Psychologist Dr Marcia Braden will present a deep dive on the impact of the Anxiety associated with Fragile X syndrome and strategies for support.   Psychologist Dr Jennifer Epstein will present a 2-part discussion on Toileting supports and strategies for children and adults living with Fragile X syndrome.  Dr Jonathan Cohen MD will discuss the current knowledge on the Fragile X Premutation Associated Conditions.

UNDERSTANDING ANXIETY AND FRAGILE X SYNDROME
Dr Marcia Braden PhD, licensed psychologist
Dr Braden is a regular presenter in our webinar series, and presents internationally on Fragile X syndrome. Dr Braden has been seeing children and adults living with Fragile X syndrome for many years in her clinical practice in the US, and brings that deep experience to her presentations.
Dr Braden will explain what lies behind the Anxiety which impacts daily living for so many people who have Fragile X syndrome.    How is this anxiety different to everyday anxiety in the general population? What triggers the anxiety? What are the emotional and behavioural responses a person may have to this anxiety?   What supports can you put in place that will be most helpful to the person who has Fragile X syndrome?
This webinar will be helpful for everyone caring for, supporting, working with,  or educating someone who is living with Fragile X syndrome.

Dr Epstein is a licensed psychologist based in the US who specialises in neurodevelopmental disorders, including Fragile X syndrome.  In this 2-part series on toileting, Dr Epstein will address supports and strategies for
– recognising toileting readiness and skill development
– managing ongoing or occasional toileting problems across the lifespan, childhood to adulthood

FRAGILE X PREMUTATION ASSOCIATED CONDITIONS & FXAND – THE LATEST

Dr Jonathan Cohen, Medical Director of Fragile X Alliance Clinic, Melbourne.
Dr Cohen is a regular presenter at workshops, conferences and webinars in Australia and internationally.  In this webinar/Q&A Dr Cohen will address what is known about FXPAC, and in particular the Fragile X Associated Neuropsychiatric conditions, such as anxiety, which some carriers of the Fragile X premutation experience.
This webinar will be run as a 2-part series in early 2024.
