Educational Seminars and Conferences

We are proactive in encouraging and assisting in arranging for international and Australian Fragile X experts to the state of Victoria to present at seminars and conferences to further educate Fragile X families and professionals on all aspects of Fragile X syndrome.

Newsletter

We contribute articles and promote Victorian Fragile X events in the national newsletter to keep Fragile X families informed of current events and information.

Annual Family Fun Day

Each year we organise a day which gives the Fragile X community an opportunity to meet in a relaxed and supportive setting where they can share stories and make new friends and contacts whilst enjoying a bbq or picnic in a parklands environment.

Coffee Morning Group

A pleasant way to meet other parents with Fragile X children and adults in a relaxed and informal setting.

The Fragile X Association of Victoria also aims to support and promote Fragile X research and raise awareness of Fragile X through media coverage, fundraising, brochure distribution and other activities.

In order to fund our services and awareness raising campaigns we hold fundraisers such as the annual raffle and Arnold, a committee member, is very generous and donates the proceeds of his annual Xmas Lights event to which he works tirelessly to ensure it is successful. We are also sometimes successful in applying for philanthropic donations and various grants.

We also seek new members to join our friendly and warm committee so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like further information and would like to help support the fragile x community in some way.
