NSW Family Day
Update Dec 08: We had a great roll-up for the pizza/fishing day. Please see a review of the day at NSW Family Day Review
PIZZA AND FISHING DAY SUNDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 2008
Following the success and fun had by all at the last NSW Family Fishing Day, another day has been planned on Scotland Island but this year there is a difference. Robyn Iredale, Tim Turpin and Marty have built a pizza oven and you will be able to make your own pizzas! Just bring your pizza toppings and the bases will be provided. For details contact 1300 FX INFO (1300 394 636) or Email Us.

What a wonderful location for a get together. I remember taking my older two children there when we lived in Narrabeen – their playgroup visited the playgroup on Scotland Island. The beaches in that area were my kids playground when little.
I reckon that could be a goer for the Qld mob as well. Have you tried the new pizza’s made on a flaky pastry dough… I would like to try it, but not sure how the pastry will go passing through the band?
Looks like you all had fun. Geoffrey and Peter love fishing and we are going to get ourselves an annual fishing license so we can fish at Somerset Dam where we have a holiday home. They stock the dam with fingerlings so it’s always got fish.

I have not heard of this type of dough. We make a standard pizza base – with a little wattle seed flour sometimes. It is a bit tricky getting the right temperature but we now have a thermostat so things have improved.
It is a great way to cook and have fun. Most FX people seem to like fishing – it is nice and calm but holds the possibility of great excitement! WE have a large fish as a trophy for the best catch and a few videos donated by Al McGlasham – author of the ‘Fishing Bible’.
Cheers
Robyn
I have forgotten which Pizza mob have put out the new flaky pastry… but it looks yummy and looks as though it has lots of cheese… anything with lots of cheese is good for me….
