Newcastle Triathlon results a win for Fragile X
Congratulations and many thanks to Andrew Moy who surpassed his target to raise $2,202.35 for our Association by competing in the recent Newcastle Triathlon.

Andrew’s efforts are even more admirable considering the weather conditions of the day. Out of 230 athletes, 178 crossed the finishing line of what TRINSWRACE.ORG called a quadrathon; the fourth leg consisting of beating the wild weather. Wind gusts reached up to 80km/h. Andrew finished the race in 2 hrs 54 minutes.
As we reported in our article Andrew Moy our EveryDay Hero Andrew’s brother, Laurie, in England suffers from Fragile X Syndrome. Laurie and his parents, Pat and Geoff, must be very proud of Andrew’s success. Here is a photo of Laurie, wearing his Fragile X Association of Australia t-shirt, and looking as if he joins with his brother in his enjoyment of bicycles.
